I love getting my summers off for the obvious reason, but part of why I think I love it so much is because I love fresh starts, clean slates, new beginnings. I take the new school on the way others would take on January 1st. For me, it is the time to organize and prep to settle in to a nice long winter of hibernation.
So this year I focused on healthy habits and picked out 10 crock pot meals that were whole 30 compliant. I am a lover of the whole 30! I have such amazing results when I follow it… key word, when. For me healthy eating is easy until it’s not. Until I get the call that I need to stay at work a little longer, until traffic gets me home late, until I have no more food left in my fridge! I need to be prepared if I am going to stick to anything. So I was so excited to find these healthy meals from The Family Freezer, that were crock pot friendly. I had a really hard time finding whole30 freezer, crock pot meals so this was like finding gold!
So to organize the first thing I did was pick out 10 meals that I thought my family would love and I started my grocery list. I’m not going to lie, I almost stopped right here. I did not want to go grocery shopping, so I compromised and did the order online and picked up! How easy! And I saved my grocery list so next time I want to make this batch again, it’s just a matter of click and pick up!
I was planning to do this on a Saturday but Friday night I was sitting around and thought I may as well get to it and have nothing to do Saturday! So off I went. I started at 6:30pm and finished around at around 9pm. Nothing needed to be cooked so it was a matter of gathering, dicing, chopping and throwing it all in the bag.
I made the following meals: Lemon Pepper Chicken, Cool Ranch Shredded Chicken Taco, Chicken Cacciatore, Citrus Chicken, Pork Carnitas, Thai Chicken, Garlic Mint Pork Loin, Mexican Beef Roast with Carrots, Red Pepper Chicken and Paleo Chili.
I think I got an extra batch of the chili so I had 11 meals to freeze.
I’ve done batch freezing before but this has to be the most successful I’ve been. The ordering online was amazing but honestly these recipes were so simple (and delicious!) to follow and the fact that I didn’t have to cook anything before hand was the best! I am planning on doing this same batch again in December, unless these meals don’t last that long and we need to stock up sooner!

Plus you know your family will be eating so well and healthy even on the days you get home at 6pm and its 45 minutes before bed!
